Auction Market Preview - week ending 13 July 2025
Fewer than 1,500 capital city homes scheduled for auction
There are currently 1,461 homes scheduled for auction across the combined capitals this week, down from 1,794 last week and 1,512 this time last year.
Melbourne has the highest volume of scheduled auctions this week (600), down from 767 last week. Over the same week last year, 628 homes were taken to auction across Melbourne.
In Sydney, 594 homes are currently scheduled for auction this week, compared to 685 last week and 560 this time last year.
Across the smaller capitals, 107 homes are scheduled to go under the hammer across Brisbane, down from 158 last week. There are 86 auctions scheduled in Adelaide this week, down from 102 last week, while in Canberra, auction activity is set to drop from 69 last week, to 62 this week. Perth is set to see 10 homes taken under the hammer this week, while just two auctions are scheduled in Tasmania.
Auction activity is expected to remain relatively low next week, with around 1,510 homes currently scheduled for auction across the combined capitals.
